The same issue would apply when you open a web browser on the LAN and enter either the local ip and/or host name. Is there anyway to include the local host name and local IP to the LE certificate? I would rather not use the quickconnect address when local, since this is only used by me to connect remotely. We connect those local Windows workstations using the local host name of the DS718+. I guess after a while you have to do this over and over again? But I never received a notification that there was a connection error and the sync was paused. I had to edit the connection by re-entering the user name and password, it then throws a message about the certificate and you click proceed. On two windows client computers running the synology drive application there were errors regarding the SSL certificate. However, I observed an issue yesterday where Synology Drive had not been sync'd for about two weeks. Usually no big deal because we can click to proceed and nothing is affected. There are no issues when accessing the DS from the quickconnect address, however when at the office locallY using the local IP or local host name we get the certificate error. If we can solve why the 3 folders show zero bytes over the network, the failure to copy may well go away too.I am currently using LE certificate on a DS718+, currently tied to a Synology quickconnect address. This is not real surprising, 'cause yesterday I used Migration Assistant to copy virtually everything from the Pro to the Air. Permissions on Air ~: Desktop 770, Pictures 700, Public 775.Įxactly the same things happen in the opposite direction, from the Air to the Pro. If I try to drop a file (from the Pro desktop) into the Air Desktop, I get the message 'Items can't be copied to "Desktop" because you don't have permission to read them.' I can drop the same file successfully into either Air ~/Pictures or Air ~/Public. home-assistant unassign synologydsm Removes the current integration label and assignees on the issue, add the integration domain after the command. Viewing ~ on the Air shows reasonable non-zero sizes for these folders. home-assistant rename Awesome new title Change the title of the issue. Select one of the following from the drop-down menu: System internal user: Assign permissions for default system users, such as the Anonymous FTP/WebDAV user. Three folders in Air ~ are shown as having Zero bytes: Desktop, Documents, and Downloads. Select the shared folder whose permissions you wish to edit. I open a Finder window with a Sidebar, and click on the MacBook Air in the Sidebar. Any suggestions would be very helpful! :)Ĭopying files from desktop to desktop I want to copy files from the Desktop of our MacBook Pro 15" 2016 macOS Monterey 12.6.1 to the Desktop on our MacBook Air M2 2022 macOS Ventura 13.0.1. The only thing changing is MacOS and Pages updates. I haven't tested with other apps like Numbers so can't say if affects them too, but the Mac in general can access the paths via Finder and I've been working with this setup for years. Synology NAS DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3 (latest update) I can't see any errors being logged on the NAS. If I save the document to my (iCloud) desktop, I can then move it manually into the share via Finder, but then it can't be autosaved if I open it in Pages again. I can create, modify and delete files from the command line in the same path. The three incomplete folders are related. Still, the phenomenon is that the two stronger servers is affected. My Synology DS412 + is weaker than the other two, which are stronger. But in this case, I don't think it's right. I've checked permissions on every folder in the path from the root of the share to the document destination and my own userid had read/write permission according to Finder. The approach that Resilio might not work properly for performance reasons is not factually wrong. If I open a document or begin a new one and then try to save it or duplicate it to a shared folder on my Synology NAS I get an error stating "The document could not be saved". I've seen some discussion about similar issues, but so far haven't found a working solution.

This meant that other third-party smart home devices wouldn’t be able to connect to the Weave or the Nest devices you had hooked up to the Weave. This however caused some problems as Nest kept the weave to their Nest devices exclusively. So Nest having multiple devices on the smaller energy scale needed to create a low power connection system. When we are talking about large devices it really isn’t an issue if they need to be connected to the internet but small devices like smart locks shouldn’t need the internet to function properly. Nest’s Weave was Nest’s answer to the long-debated concept of devices that were overly reliant on the internet to work. It may be possible to get the Nest X Yale locks to work off of a single Nest connect but you may also need to buy two Nest connects for the Nest X Yale locks to work off of.įor detailed installation instruction check out Nest’s guide to installation. This issue can be a problem if you get multiple Nest X Yale locks as well. In regard to your door’s dimensions you’ll need an average door thickness so a 1 and 3/8 inch thick, 1 and 3/4 inch thick, or a 2 to 2 and 1/4 inch thick door shouldn’t run into any conflicts with the Nest x Yale lock but anything thicker or thinner than those dimensions will cause some issues. As well as glass doors just not quite fitting the bill here. This means sliding doors are a no go with this type of lock. The conveniences continue to grow as with google assistant integration you can use your phone either through the Nest app or through the Google assistant to both unlock and lock the door. This will provide you with a keypad instead of a keyhole and allow for you to save up to 20 pass-codes that you or, whoever you have given the code to, can use to enter your house instead of needing to print keys.
